Last day...

Nearly the last day at this particular institute - I am looking forward to it and feel I have learnt a lot already. I am not very sure what subject area I am going to go over as I am not strictly a lecturer, I just get drafted in every now and then to cover when people are off sick! The unit spec number for the class I have been supply covering for recently is http://www.sqa.org.uk/files/nu/DM3R_11.pdf This is an 'IT for Administrators' course. Not sure how useful it is to use as an e-learning experiment.

Alternatively, the Blend2Learn project will be developing materials on Core Skills in 3 subject areas based on Intermediate 1 Core Skills. The descriptor for this is http://www.sqa.org.uk/files/nu/D01C10.pdf

See you all tomorrow!

Driving me round the bend...

Back at my desk again for the first time since our training. I almost had to spend Friday night in the Glasgow area after a mighty battle with my borrowed sat-nav which was determined to send me off on a wild goose chase - it will be back to a good old road map for the next trip!

I was just really making sure I could get in here again. I will return later on in the week to update you on any progress I have made in our homework... :-)

Greetings

This is my first ever blog posting, brought to you from the swish Carron Suite at Cumbernauld College.

I am on a training course to learn about the wonders of e-learning. So far, I learnt how to use voting buttons, how to create a blog and I have also learnt that Cumbernauld have much better biscuits than Borders College!

I come from Jedburgh - here is my house!
